goodness … I tell ya, what a country! America is, once again, roiled and riveted in a SEX story.

He’s known as “Client 9.” In person, as y’all know, he’s Gov. Eliot Spitzer of the state of New York. She, as “Kristen,” a young, very pretty, petite, brunette, who charges over $4,000 an hour for her “time.”

They met in Room 871, of the Mayflower Hotel, described as one of the “venerable” hotels right in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C., where the powers-that-be and wealthy men usually meet their illicit, expensive amores for a kinky romp on its kingly beds.

He’s the picture perfect alpha male, whose ascent to power and prominence was meteoric. A brainy kid, they said, who graduated from Princeton and Harvard Law School and became “an avenging state attorney general, hunting down Wall Street malefactors with a moralistic fervor that sounded pitch-perfect.…”

Then, he ran for governor and seized a vast electoral mandate. Then, he got caught in a SEXUAL tryst, with a prostitute.

Then, all the wags began to wag their tongues … and called for him to immediately step down from his elected position.

(Editor's Note: It is all moot and academic now, Ka Jesse. Governor Spitzer has resigned effective Monday, March 17, 2008.)“He’s lost his credibility to a degree where he can’t govern,” they said. “He ought to get the best deal he can and step aside.”

But then, others said, “As long as he’s doing his job, who cares? We’ve all got skeletons in our closets….”

And some said, “Unless he was using New York State money for the prostitute, it’s none of our business….”

The BEST quote, I think, came from an Alan Dershowitz, a law professor from Harvard for whom Mr. Spitzer was once a research assistant. He said: “Men go to prostitutes -- big deal, that’s NOT a story in most parts of the world … Prostitutes aren’t victims – they’re getting paid a thousand dollars an hour, and the johns aren’t victims.”

“What upset me the most,” Professor Dershowitz added, “was that they wiretapped thousands of emails and phone calls. In an age when terrorism needs to be stopped, they’re devoting these kinds of resources to a prostitution ring.”

I agree with you, professor. But salacious sex stories are more riveting than terrorism. Here in America, I’ve learned that people love to hear other people’s sex stories. They wanna know who you’re sleeping with. They wanna know how their next door neighbors perform their sexual acts. They wanna know the lurid details. They love to eavesdrop … and whisper sex stories to friends.

I tell ya, what a country!

Mrs. Michelle Obama said that “finally” after forty years she’s become proud of this country. (Would this mean that before her husband sought the presidency, she was not proud to be an American?)

I love this country though … since day one when I first set my foot on it. Unlike Mrs. Michelle Obama, who said that “finally” after forty years she’s become proud of this country.

And the reason she’s now proud of this country, she said, is because her husband, Barack is now a presidential candidate of this country. Yeah, I tell ya, what a country!

Did Senator Obama receive preferential treatment because he’s Black American?

Y’all heard about the remarks of Geraldine Ferraro, a former congresswoman and a former vice presidential candidate to Walter Mondale in 1984, who said that Barack HUSSEIN Obama had received preferential treatment because he’s Black?

Barack is a Muslim, too, ain’t he? If he’s not, please forgive my ignorance. But, you see, with a middle name, like HUSSEIN, which was the last name of Saddam … and a last name, like Obama, that rhymes with the name, Osama, who is America’s deadliest and most elusive enemy, I mean, he, Barack HUSSEIN Obama is kind of suspect, ain’t he?

Well, don’t y’all think so? Figure it out. But really, I hope I am wrong.

Anyway, back to Ms. Ferraro. Yeah, she said last Friday that Barack had received preferential treatment because he’s Black. (Don’t they all?) Ms. Ferraro, who backs Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, said: “If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman of any color, he would not be in this position. He happens to be very LUCKY to who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept . . .”

Amen, Ms. Geraldine. I agree. Bring it on.

But, of course, Obama and his Obambis went ballistics over that. They said that Ferraro’s remarks were “absurd” and “divisive” and “racist.”

Ms. Ferraro defended her comments and angrily said, “Every time that campaign is upset about something, they call it racist. I will not be discriminated against because I am White. If they think they’re going to shut up Geraldine Ferraro with that kind of stuff, they don’t know me."

Ms. Ferraro also said that the Obambis “twisted” her remarks. “I am livid at this thing," she said. "Any time you said something to anybody about the Obama campaign, it immediately become a racist attack.”

“I’m exercising my First-Amendment rights,” Ms. Ferraro added. “If they don’t like it, tough! I intend never to have anybody tell me that I can’t say what I want to say.”

Right on, Ms. Ferraro. It wasn’t absurd then to Mr. B.O. when his Obambis attacked Ms. Hillary and called her a “monster,” a “witch” and a “chilly bitch.” It wasn’t absurd then when they slurred her daughter, Chelsea, and called her a “pimp.” And, it wasn’t absurb then when they cursed Bill and called him a “dog.”

My goodness, I tell ya, what a country! Some people indeed EXPECT preferential treatment simply because … they’re Black. JJ
