A Cup O’ Kapeng Barako

As I write this, Tuesday, March 23, 2010, President Barack Hussein Obama signs into law that “historic” daw Health Care Reform bill that the House Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi, had voted to pass over the weekend.

The House voted for the measure 219-212, a mere seven-vote difference to get the bill passed.  It was NOT voted on unanimously.  Thirty-four Democrats joined Republicans in voting against the bill.

Nonetheless, in jubilance, Pelosi and company said, “It’s history!”

Y eah, it’s history alright!  This history highlighted America’s deep partisan and ideological divide!  Yeah, it’s history alright!  Come November this year, in the midterm congressional elections, Pelosi and company are history!  Come November 2012, Obama is history, too!

It would also be in history books the fact that VP Joe Biden added an unexpected touch to the signing of the health care bill, when he uttered the “F---bomb” after introducing President Obama at Tuesday’s ceremony at the White House.

“This is a big (expletive) deal,” Biden said to Obama privately, but his “effing” remark was captured on audio and video.  Yeah, Joe Biden is history, too.

And the White House response to this “effing” by Mr. Biden?  Nodding his assent, Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary, said, “Yes, Mr. Vice President, you’re right.”

I tell ya … well, like any other rulers and kings, King Barack HUSSEIN Obama has got to have his court jesters, too.

THE BENEFICIARIES OF OBAMACARE: As we all know, the uninsured and the lowest-income families are clearly the beneficiaries of this legislation.  It also meant to provide coverage to about 32-million people who have been pushed out because to insurers, they have been deemed as “too sick” or because they cannot afford the ever-rising premiums.

And that’s a good thing.  It’s the American way to take care of those who are poor and needy.

But to MOST AMERICANS, working Americans, that is, the effect will not be as “significant.”  Like for instance, to my two sons, who in their daily grind work their butts off five days a week and sometimes more.  And also, to my wife.  They are not going to get anything out of this health care reform. (Me?  I am retired. Twice retired, in fact. That’s right, folks, I’ve put in my time in taking care of the poor and needy).

This Obamacare will be costly to consumers.  Wealthy families will be required to pay additional taxes.  And, whether they like it or not, most Americans will be required to have health insurance and face federal fines if they do not buy it.

In other words, this health care reform is being shoved down our throats!

It’s the core of Mr. Obama’s agenda for America: Spread the wealth! Give to the poor and lazy and to those on eternal welfare and screw the middle class and those who strive hard and work hard in order to get ahead.

To me, it looks like it punishes the achievers and rewards the losers … the PALAMUNINS and the PARASITES of America.

N ow, check these facts out:

·        Millions of middle-income people will be pressured to buy commercial policies that cost up to 9.5 percent of income but cover an average of only 70 percent of medical expenses.

·        Insurance firms will get at least $447-billion in taxpayer money in subsidies.

·        People with employer-based coverage will be locked into their plan’s limited network of providers.

·        The bill will siphon off $40-billion from Medicare Payments to safety-net hospitals.

·        Health care costs will continue to skyrocket, like they did in Massachusetts.

And as the costs continue to skyrocket, who is going to be left holding the bag to pay up? The middle class! The working class who work their butts off to get ahead!

MILITARY RETIREES UNDER MEDICARE: Yours truly is a Legionnaire and I want to share with y’all this letter to the editor that was published in the “Legionnaire,” an American Legion newspaper of the state of Washington, written by Charles W. Arnold, Lt. Col., US Air Force (Retired).  The American Legion is a nation-wide organization consisting of military war veterans and retirees.  I hope President Obama and Speaker Pelosi and those Democrat legislators pay attention to this. They better.

Dear Sir:

As you may already know, the Medical care retirees are receiving via Tricare and Medicare is under attack.  With programmed reductions in the fees provided are paid, many doctors are now turning Tricare and Medicare patients away.  One provider said they only took Tricare because they were Americans first.  Unfortunately, not all doctors think this way.  My spouse was recently turned away from Inland Neurosurgery and Spine because they no longer accept Tricare, and are no longer taking new Medicare patients.  This situation effectively limits the quality of the care a military retiree and his/her dependents can obtain.

President Obama’s new health care bill only THREATENS TO MAKE THE SITUATION worse.

Retirees now have increasing co-pays for prescription drugs, and they cannot obtain brands name drugs because of the cost.  While most generic drugs are OK, some are not, but it is virtually impossible to get Tricare to pay for a brand name prescription even when the prescribing doctor says the patient needs the brand name products.  In addition, some of the generic drugs are either in part or in whole manufactured off shore, without good quality control to insure they are safe for the consumer.  All of these problems are indicative of a health care system in crisis, and the LOSERS ARE THE MILITARY RETIREES who devoted their adult lives to their country and are now being disregarded.

Every veteran should be contacting their congressmen/women and senators and let them know the injustice that is being placed upon the military community.  This is not just a retiree issue; it is an active duty and reserve issue, too.  Everyone is being impacted, and the only way to fight back is to voice our dissent.

Now, this one came from Larry Nietmotka, also a military retiree and a Legionnaire from Vacaville, California:

Dear Sir,

Nancy Pelosi fails to address the fact that the proposed health-care bill will cut Medicare Part B.  Cutting Part B will hurt military retirees under Tricare for life.  I personally don’t like anything about the health-care bill, but I find it most insulting when public servants assume military retirees can be fooled into believing Part B cuts won’t affect our Tricare program.

Remember “stay for 20 and get free medical care”?  Lie to me once, now lie to me twice?  Sorry, but that dog don’t hunt.

A DOGGIE DYOK FROM ED NAVARRA: Talking about “dawgs,” this doggie dyok came from Ed Navarra of Michigan, the Midwest chairman of NaFFAA.  Due to corruption and thievery among some of its national CEOs, this Fil-Am organization is now on the brink of getting debunked.

But that’s another story.  Let’s go back to Ed’s dyok.  For propriety, I changed the name of one of the characters in the dyok and added a couple of choice Barako words (the ones in caps and in quotes).  Here it is.  Enjoy.

Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are on the same stage in Yankee Stadium in front of a huge crowd.

Mr. Biden leans towards Ms. Pelosi and said, “Do you know that with one little wave of my hand I can make every person in this crowd go wild with joy?  This joy will not be a momentary display, but will go deep into their hearts and they’ll forever speak of this day and rejoice!”

Speaker Pelosi replied, “I seriously doubt that.  With little wave of your hand?  Show me!”

So the “EFFING” Biden, with a little mighty wave of his hand, backhanded the “EFFING” bitch.

And what would be the morale of this dyok?

Yes indeed, forevermore the American people would speak of that day and rejoice … like the day the Democrats had rejoiced as one when President Obama signed into law the “EFFING” health-care bill, against the wishes of the majority of the American people.  JJ
