As a teacher and as a journalist graduate, this is BAD NEWS. I'm teaching high school sophomores and I've just discussed about "the first pinay to train for space travel" by volt contreras courtesy of pathways to communication, Abiva Publishing house. According to the selection, she is training to be a cosmonaut --- I hope she has not lied about that too. We read about her being a polyglot --- I hope this could be verified. Our topic is about having great dreams. Youngsters are too exposed to dishonesty, this would seem an advertisement that it's ok to lie. Geez.

"My mom said she learned how to swim. Someone took her out in the lake and threw her off the boat. That's how she learned how to swim. I said, 'Mom, they weren't trying to teach you how to swim.'"--Paula Poundstone
