The NaFFAA press release said:
"Marquez was formerly based in San Diego, California until he was deported by US authorities for engaging in marriage fraud. He blamed NaFFAA for reporting him to the immigration authorities.
“It’s sad but Reyes and Marquez will never stop their jihad against NaFFAA until they succeed in killing NaFFAA out of pure spite” Rodis said.
Reyes and Marquez are backed by a San Jose group appropriately called CRABS (“Citizens Rebelling Against Bonus Spending”).

Hello to all,
The press release (Date: Sat, 20 Nov 2010 21:28:58 -0500) originating from Rodel Rodis and passed on to five others who in turn passed it on to a few more others perpetuates this lie, and I quote: "Marquez was formerly based in San Diego, California until he was deported by US authorities for engaging in marriage fraud. He blamed NaFFAA for reporting him to the immigration authorities."
There are at least two lawyers copied with this press release and if they had done their due diligence, they would find egregious mistakes in the highlighted paragraph quoted above.
In a previous paragraph, the press release stated, thus: " x x x article written by his Toronto-based cohort, Romeo Marquez x x x ", is contradictory for the simple reason that US law does not remove one to a third country; it is always to the country of origin which, in my case is the Philippines.
I moved to Toronto temporarily on my own volition, not because NaFFAA or the crooks in NaFFAA and in San Diego, succeeded in their petition. And I'm not blaming anyone in NaFFAA, crook or not, for reporting whatever.
You can all draft your petitions for my removal/deportation, etcetera, for all I care, but please, don't fabricate lies.
Rodis and Nicolas-Lewis, by circulating the press release, are guilty of slandering me. I did not engage in "marriage fraud" as your press release so stated.
As men and a woman of honor, I expect that you would correct any false impression created by your press release. I also expect a written apology from Rodis and Nicolas-Lewis, and from the writer Marian Rodriguez, whoever she is, ghost or not.
Thanks and best regards,
Romy Marquez
