Dear Bobby, Thank you very much for collating all the materials on Ka Edong. I'm doing this, too, for the family. I'll forward whatever I have to you. You may want to include them in your website. The Filipino migrant / migrant worker groups sponsored a mass and short program two nights ago. It was like a reunion of sorts for those of us who lobbied in Congress for the passage of the OAV and Dual Citizenship bills. Ellene Sana (CMA), Noel Esquela, Jun Aguilar (FMW Group), Eric Lachica, Vic Barrios and I shared some anecdotes with the guests, recalling personal experiences with Ka Edong. We also read some of the messages of condolences and tributes sent via e-mail. Former Bulacan representative, Cong. Willie Villarama (he's a cousin of Ka Edong's widow, Maribel), and Loida Nicolas-Lewis were also seen at the wake that night. Today is the last day of Ka Edong's wake in Manila (only until noon). His ashes will be flown back to Guam tonight. Maraming salamat ulit, Bobby. Do keep in touch. Best regards, Chee

Quote of the Day

"I had a linguistics professor who said that it's man's ability to use language that makes him the dominant species on the planet. That may be. But I think there's one other thing that separates us from animals -- we aren't afraid of vacuum cleaners."--Jeff Stilson
