BOE Member Michelle Steel and 14 Other Asian-American Leaders Endorse Carly Fiorina’s Senate Bid

W ESTMINSTER, CA – U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina today earned the endorsement of Third District Board of Equalization Representative Michelle Steel at a press conference in Westminster.

“Michelle Steel is a tireless, principled public servant, and I am humbled and grateful to receive her endorsement of my campaign for U.S. Senate,” said Fiorina. “Now, more than ever,
California needs representatives in Washington who will set aside partisanship and work to develop real solutions to our nation’s most pressing challenges. The decisions made by the U.S. Senate affect every family and every business in the nation. And as a U.S. Senator, I will make the priorities of my fellow Californians – job creation, economic growth and reining in federal spending – my top priorities.”

Ms. Steel is the nation’s highest-ranking Korean-American officeholder and
California's highest-ranking Republican woman. A successful businesswoman and an active member of her community, Steel was elected to the Board of Equalization in 2006 where she has been a strong taxpayer advocate and small-business representative.

“Carly Fiorina is a strong fiscal conservative who knows first hand what its takes to create jobs, make payroll and meet a bottom line. That’s the kind of real-world experience we need standing up for
California in the U.S. Senate,” said Steel. “I know Carly will be a staunch advocate for California’s taxpayers in Washington, and I am pleased to endorse her campaign for U.S. Senate.”
