Here are some more news coverage . . .

1. The Philippine Independence Day Council's Mabuhay Philippines Festival bounces back from the doldrums to regain its standing as the Filipino community's premier community event. Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne was its main guest at the opening ceremony, perhaps an indication of the renewed importance political leaders attach to such activities. PIDC president Norma Carpio has all the reasons to smile now. The festival was a smashing success! The video is at:  http://youtu.be/uiKl0Vt12PM

2. Larry is Greek who's married to a Filipina. He says he does not miss Filipino community events for the love of Philippine culture, music, food, arts, everything. As he sits under the shade to cool down at Harbourfront Centre watching Mabuhay Festival, he shares an opinion that community leaders might well take heed of. The video is at:  http://youtu.be/tSZmjT_r5D4
