Update as of June 14, 2007: Today, our web site’s counter reaches its second-month milestone. We had just some 3,000 hits during our first 30 days. We more-than doubled the hits (visits) in our second month – as we have generated today (at 7:30 p.m., Pacific Time) in excess of 9,150 hits. Google, which monitors our traffic for the ads that it places, also reports the number of pages (articles) being visited every day. Visitors to our site now read more-than 500 pages every day. Today, our web site was accepted also by more-than 100 search engines. We have operated for two months without the benefit of being part of an Internet search engine. It takes time to be accepted by search engines. But we were able to do it in two months. A web site has to prove first that it has the necessary contents and technical support to be able to generate and sustain sufficient traffic before it could be considered by a search engine.
Welcome to the newest blog about the views and opinions on Philippine and Overseas-Filipino World (OFW) issues and whatever the Filipino Internet world may like to discuss. This blog is initiated by Bobby M. Reyes of Sorsogon City, Philippines, and Los Angeles, California. Participants are requested to put their thinking caps on.
Update as of June 6, 2007: Today the satire of an article, "How Iraq Can Solve the Problems of America," more-than equalled in two days in number of hits that "Reinventing the Filipino Psyche (Part One)" generated in 21 days. Thank you, Dear Readers. We realize that you like to read satires, especially those that are about the current problems that the American people are facing. We hope to come up with similar unique framework of approaching matters concerning current events, especially the controversial topics. Today, we started also the "Health and Medicine" Section.
Updates as of May 26, 2007: We look forward to our second-month milestone on June 9, 2007, although our counter was activated only on April 14, 2007. We can indeed say that we are now ranked higher than some Overseas-Filipino web sites that have been operating for years. Yes, in just our first month of operation, we overtook -- in ranking -- a Toronto, Canada-based site that shares a common name (although it is a dot.net online radio). The reason for the rapid rising of our ratings is that we post almost daily new articles. Eventually, we will be able to post many more original articles, as our list of contributors and columnists grows bigger.
Thank you, Dear Readers, for the support. You really deserve the best that the Overseas-Filipino Fourth Estate can write online. And to borrow the words of President Ronald Reagan, "you ain't seen nothin' yet." BTW, we will feature soon at least two articles about President Reagan and the Philippines in the coming days.
We will soon have new sections on Travel and Health/Medicine. And we will expand our Obituary Category to include eulogies and true stories about some remarkable Filipinos and Overseas Filipinos who have passed away and left us with memorable memories.

Thank you Bobby. Padayon!
Bicol secede? Iyong kay Kit Tatad probinsya seguro, but not your six Bicol Provinces. Samar seguro, kasama ang Romblon, iyong ang gusto ni Morgan Benedicto, puedeng mag-secede. Kaya nga lang madugo iyon.
Anyway, thanks for the invitation Bobby sa blog mo.

RE: Updates from the Motherland. The site has links to several Filipino newspapers and Internet radio stations. Eventually we will have also Internet TV in the www.mabuhaybroadcasting.com. One of the purposes for this blog is to help you and the other members of the third-generation Filipino Americans maintain your Filipino roots and heritage.
Stay tuned and posted on the site. We are just beginning and you ain't seen nothin' yet.
Mabuhay,

Dear Tito Bobby,
Great to hear from you. I just checked your blog. It's refreshing though I am not updated with news in our motherland.
Warm regards,
Abet Villanueva
First of all, congratulations on this new venture of yours! I guess you're the first one in the Filipino community to have such a blog that encourages the unfettered exercise of First Amendment rights. That is something!
I am also such an advocate in print, and just recently online, and it's good to know more people, including yourself who's been there ever since, are beginning to empower themselves by exercising rights that are inherently theirs.
I am not quite familiar with current issues about the Philippines but certainly I have a lot to say about my present community here in San Diego. If you're interested in that, then I am willing to keep you and your readers informed.
Good luck. Thanks and best regards,
Romy Marquez

I am so glad to know such spirit from Bicolandia and greener pasture, as it were, passing through the wide web on-line to let Fil-AM younger generations not to forget their roots and blood.
I am from Bulusan,Sorsogon, though I am here working as an OFW in the Middle East, I find your site interesting... this might be late but keep up the spirit!
Salamat
