Practically everyday you hear about something new that's happening in the digital world. Faster Computers, easier to use software, bigger hard drives etc. . . .
You might have the fastest computer sitting in you home or your office, but it is still being held back by what is probably the slowest component of all -- the keyboard and mouse...
Yes, that good ol' keyboard and mouse are starting to show its age...
But what could posibly replace them? That is a question that has been pondered by many brilliant minds . . .
Some people expected voice activation to be the one to do it, but that technology still has to prove itself beyond the novelty stage. Others have come up with ways to make "better" keyboards and mice -- wireless, bluetooth, laser -- you name it . . . But the end result does not fundamentally change. It is still a keyboard or a mouse, no matter how many buttons you add to it...
And then there was the touchscreen, which has actually been around for quite sometime now...
That actually made some headway into replacing the keyboard and the mouse -- but mostly in the portable arena, like the tablet PC's or handheld PDA's. The smaller screens of those portables made it the more cost-effective place to utilize those expensive touchscreens...
Well now, it looks like we might have an even better alternative, Multi-touch sensing screens...

Those videos have been around for a few months now, and isn't really "new" anymore, but what is new is that it looks like the technology is actually being adopted for commercial use right now!
