“The Minds of our Children and How Interactive Museums Help Nurture Them” Is Radio Talk Show Topic on Jan. 23, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. (Manila time) on DZRH-AM

The first line of our title came from Walter Disney, pioneer in educational entertainment and founder of Disneyland and the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (EPCOT) Center. The Philippines does not have any of Disney’s facilities but it has children’s museums with interactive, enjoyable exhibits that help children learn to become better individuals and heirs of our planet. The pioneers, the Philippine Science Centrum (PSC) and Museo Pambata, have been operating since 1990 and 1994, respectively.

On Feb. 23-25, 2008, the  Museo Pambata is organizing the First Asian Children's Museum Conference. To know more about the conference and this topic, tune in Kalikasan, Kaunlaran! (KK!) on Jan. 23, 2008, Wed., 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Manila time),  on DZRH-AM radio. Featured guests are: Dr. Nina Lim-Yuson, president and CEO, Museo Pambata; Engr. Meneleo Carlos, chair and president, PSC, and Ms. Alice A. Pañares, executive director, Nat’l. Council for Children's TV, DepEd. Moderating the talakayan in conversational Tagalog is KK! Director and Host Dr. Cora Claudio, the president of the EARTH Institute Asia and PSC Trustee.
