Bill Clinton’s comment above alludes only to one thing: Jackson and Obama are both BLACK wannabe Presidents of America. 

Good grief!  Imagine having for President of the United States a Black man, who’s not really Black, whose name is Barack HUSSEIN Osama, I mean, Obama.  It’s now or never, don’t y’all think? 

Indeed, these are interesting times in American politics.  It’s drama galore.  Patalbugan at pataasan ng ihi.  So the media, the pundits and talk heads are all going bananas telling the world about it   

This past Monday, three things unfolded before our eyes and spilled into our living rooms.

SPEECH & HUGS: First there were the speech and the hugs and the Camelot-like daw endorsement that Sen. Edward Kennedy gave Senator Obama.  Here’s the scenario and the dialogue:

At a rally at American University in Washington, D.C., Senator Kennedy says of Senator Obama: “He will be a President who refuses to be trapped in the patterns of the past.  He is a leader who sees the world clearly without being cynical.  He is the fighter who cares passionately about the causes he believes in without demonizing those who hold a different view . . .”

Senator Kennedy pauses in his speech here and gives Mr. Obama a hug.

Then Kennedy continues, and in an obvious reference to Bill Clinton’s statement that Mr. Obama’s anti-war stance was just a “fairy tale,” says: “From the beginning, he opposed the war in Iraq.  And let no one deny that truth.  With Barack Obama we will close the book on the old politics of race against race, gender against gender, ethnic group against ethnic group … and straight against gay.”  Then, he stops again his speech and gives Senator Obama another hug.

“With Barack Obama,” he continues, “there is another new national leader who has given America a different kind of campaign, blah, blah, blah, yakity yak ….”  Sen. Kennedy stops again and gives Senator Obama another hug.

Y’all get what I am driving at?  On yata itong dalawang ito.  Panay ang yakapan, eh.

The day before, Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of President John F. Kennedy, had also endorsed Sen. Obama.  She said, “I have never had a President who inspired me the way people tell me that my father inspired them.  But for the first time I believe I have found the man who could be that President – not just for me, but for a new generations of Americans.”

That’s a profound statement.  I like Caroline.  And I liked her father, John F. Kennedy.  And I also liked her uncle, Robert F. Kennedy.  And her other uncle they call, Ted.  But I have to disagree with her and her Uncle Ted on this one.  Even if Mr. Obama could be elected as America’s President, I doubt if he could INSPIRE Americans like her father did.

And that’s because Barack Hussein Obama is NO Jack F. Kennedy!!!  Perhaps Barack was able to inspire Ted and Caroline and many others.  But he was not able to inspire all of the Kennedys and millions of others, who are non-Kennedys.  Get my drift?

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, the eldest daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy said that she, her brother Robert, Jr., and sister Kerry were endorsing Hillary Clinton because “she shares so many of the concerns of my father.”  So there.

True, Mr. Obama has got the gift of the slurpy, syrupy, silvery tongue.  He’s an inspirational speaker and a great orator and such.  Hitler was also a great orator and such.  He was able to move the Aryan nation to join his Nazi Party.  Many Germans also believe that Hitler could bring CHANGE .…  Okay, y’all don’t go ballistics on me now.  I am not insinuating anything.  I am just stating a fact.  But if you wanna think otherwise, go ahead, be my guest, it’s a free country.  A great country, may I add.

OBAMA’S SNUB OF HILLARY:  It was moments before Mr. Bush was going to deliver his seventh and last State of the Union Address in that great hall of Congress where America’s powers-that-be deliver their speeches …

And only hours after Sen. Barack Obama received those passionate and repeated embraces from Sen. Ted Kennedy when that much talked-about SNUB occurred.

Barack and his newly-found Uncle Ted were standing together.  Hillary walked into the great hall.  Heads turned.  “She was impossible to miss in the sea of dark suits and Supreme Court dark robes,” said Maureen Dowd in her New York Times column.  “Like Scarlett O’Hara after a public humiliation, Hillary showed up at the gathering wearing a defiant shade of red.”

As Ms. Hillary reached out to shake Sen. Kennedy’s hand, Mr. Obama turned way to talk KUNO to another legislator instead of joining Uncle Teddy in shaking hands with Hillary.  Those who saw that intentional snub cringed in embarrassment for Hillary.

The following day, Obama said he was “surprised” to hear news reports of this SNUB.  “I was turning away because Claire (that’s Sen. Claire McCaskill) asked me a question as Senator Kennedy was reaching forward,” Obama explained.  “Senator Clinton and I have had very cordial relations off the floor and on the floor….  I think there is just a lot more tea-leaf reading going on here than I think people are suggesting.”

Ha!  Tea-leaf reading, indeed.  As we all know, that was a fib.  They hate each other’s guts.  As Ms. Dowd said, “Their relations have been frosty and fraught ever since the young Chicago prince challenged Queen Hillary’s royal proclamation that it was her turn to rule.”  That SNUB was clearly a snub. 

That SNUB clearly alludes only to one thing: Barack is merely a BOY in the world of adult politics … and  politeness.  In the Filipino vernacular: Marami pang kakainin bigas si Barack.   JJ
