Fred Burce Bunao's 1970 Slogan
| Fred Burce Bunao's 1970 Slogan |
Remember how poet-pundit Fred Burce Bunao coined a slogan in 1970? He was then one of the managing editors of the Manila Times publications.
Mr. Bunao wrote this slogan: "Walang tinapay sa mesa kung Hindi aalsa ang masa."

Such phrase was quoted by writer Mauro Avena, but most likely he was quoting Fred Bunao who, actually, had a bakery. And to make the matter worse, Avena even wrote that Fred put [the phrase] it in his bakery van that carried pandesal for delivery. And remember such era was when Ferdinand Marcos was a dictator. Fred is in North Virginia right now, and he hopes to be back in Los Angeles by September this year.
