The MabuhayRadio.com finally hurdled the 200,000th level in the Alexa.com’s worldwide rankings of web sites operated by Filipino-American publications. After operating for 10 months and eight days, the MabuhayRadio.com was ranked No. 199,234 as of Feb. 17, 2008. The rankings are like the score in golf: The lower, the better. The MabuhayRadio.com leads second-placer AsianJournal.com by 31,412 positions (spots) and third-ranked MyGringos.com by 121,263. The AsianJournal.com is ranked No. 230,646 while MyGringos.com is No. 320,497.
Among 16 Filipino-American websites published by Filipino-American media companies, only the MabuhayRadio.com, MyGringos.com and the PinoyOnBoard.com do not have hardcopy weekly newspapers or a monthly magazine to back them up. The AsianJournal.com has the sister hardcopy publication, Asian Journal, that is published and distributed for free in Southern California, Northern California, Southern Nevada and the New York-New Jersey markets. The MabuhayRadio.com relies only on Internet postings and referrals by site visitors.
