The following is Bobby Reyes's reply to the e-mailed appeal made by Apo Satur Respicio of Hercules, California, to some members of the Filipino-American press not to put down one another.

Bobby Reyes made his reply, which is quoted herein in its entirety.

QUOTE. Dear Apo Satur:

Thank you for your appeal. But it is the duty of real journalists to write about the truth and nothing but the truth. For as long as the NaFFAA refuses to make public the financial statements for its events like its national convention in San Jose, CA, in August 2002, and its Global Conference in Manila (2003), Cebu (2004), Chicago (2005) and Hawaii (2006), my media friends and I will continue to press the NaFFAA national executive officers (NEOs) for the requested financial documents.

Secondly, we can only unite the good elements of our community. We cannot mix the corrupt with the well-meaning community leaders.

Yes, it is actually "I-can-do-better-than-the-rest-of-you" in reporting anomalies in the community, as Romy Marquez and I are doing in exposing the scams being committed by these NaFFAA NEOs and the Lagareng Hapons in the community.

If the NaFFAA NEOs like Rodis, et al, do not like my describing them as crooks and a bunch of mice and not men, then they are free to sue me for libel in any Superior Court. We are not putting the NaFFAA NEOs down; we are simply reporting that many of them are crooks.

Please visit the
www.mabuhayradio.com and read the article posted today in the front page about how Romy Marquez is teaching wannabe writer Perry Diaz the tenets of real journalism.

Mabuhay,

Bobby M. Reyes
El Comandante
Hukbong Bayan Laban sa mga Lagareng Hapon at mga Kawatan sa NaFFAA at Comunidad

PS: We will post this exchange of e-mails in the www.mabuhayradio.com, so that we can really embarrass the guilty.

Perry, Romy, Bobby, Rodel, Greg, Peps, et at:

Ganyan sana kayong mga periodista (is that the Filipino for Journalist?). When you trade blurbs on *Anything- you-can-do,

I-can-do-better, I-can-do-anything-better-than-you * syndrome, putting down one another.

Then you can help our disparate Filipino and Filipino-American communities in North America shake off the crab-mentality syndrome that occurs everywhere, and reduce the colonial-mindedness that permeates its inner core.

Forget NaFAAA for the moment, because it is femme run Not because I am sexist, but their mindset is not to be considered to the best of the interest of our Kababayans sa America.

No comment on the Equity-Bill works. I personally know Congressman Robert Filner, as he used to participate in the Filipino Forum in San Diego, with Michael Aguirre, another SD Politico wannabe then.

We have to get the Diasporans (sic) throughout the world how to bring back our Beautiful Home Islands, *Bansang Magayon,* on stream towards one people, one thought, one aim - to be the best in South East Asia, not just with us, but also with our suffering kabayans, from Batanes to Tawi-tawi, from the Sprat leys to the Davao Region.

Apo Satur

PS: Please forward this message to all the real Fourth Estate Bansang Magayon folks working the American market.
