Here is another reason why Filipino-American Republicans, the National Federation of Filipino-American Associations (NaFFAA) and the National Alliance for Filipino Veterans’ Equity (NAFVE) have to permanently oust Perry Diaz as a member and/or officer and cast him off to the dustbin of history.

This writer has always maintained that Perry Diaz writes nothing but perrytales (to borrow the words of journalist Joseph Lariosa) and he is also a bigot. Mr. Diaz has always called our association, the Media Breakfast Club of Los Angeles (MBCLA), as a group of gay people simply because our e-mail address is The Filipino word for gay is "bacla." Now, Mr. Diaz’s bigotry extends to women, as if his wife, mother and sisters are not of the female sex.

Please find an e-mail exchange between Mr. Diaz and a Republican woman leader, Ms. Amy Susil. Mr. Diaz had the nerve to e-mail today Ms. Amy with this grammatically-wrong sentence: "Does this kind of email exchanges gives (sic) you orgasm?  You are one lonely woman." Mr. Diaz even provided several Filipino-American Republican leaders with copies of his e-mail to Ms. Amy.

As reported in this online magazine and in some e-forums, Mr. Diaz has been very nasty in dealing with his perceived opponents and the women in their lives. He called the mother of San Francisco-based community leader Jay Caedo as a "prostitute." Mrs. Caedo of course was a very-much respected woman and civic leader.

If Mr. Diaz is not a bigot and if he has any respect at all for women, then he would not be addressing Ms. Amy, Mrs. Caedo and other ladies in the MBCLA with such nasty terms and phrases.

There is something big wrong with Mr. Diaz, his intellect and conduct. Perhaps it is time that associations and individuals ostracize him for his conduct unbecoming a Filipino gentleman.
