There is another Filipino-American representative in mainstream television. She is Elita Loresca, who is possibly the first of our people to become a weather newscaster of the KNBC TV-4 of Los Angeles. She appears on KNBC-4 news broadcasts usually from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. ("Today in L.A.") and 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon ("Midday Report"), Mondays to Fridays. Today, Dec. 27th., we will conduct a full-length person-to-person interview with Ms. Loresca at the KNBC studios in Burbank, California. This will be Ms. Loresca's first interview with any member of the Filipino-American Fourth Estate in Southern California.

This is not the first time that the MabuhayRadio.com has informed the reading public of the most-conspicuous personification of the most-positive contributions of the Filipino-American community to American society.

Just in the second month of our existence, our columnist, Jesse Jose, wrote on May 17, 2007, about his son, Chris, an award-winning broadcast journalist. Chris Jose works for the CBS News Channel 5 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. To read again the article, please click on this link Jesse's Son Wins Wyoming Broadcasters' Awards.

On Oct. 20, 2007, Romeo P. Marquez wrote about Ms. Maria Arcega-Dunn, then the weekend news anchor and reporter at Fox 6 News in San Diego, California.  To read Romy Marquez’s report, please go to The Filipino Face of San Diego's Broadcast News Makes a Career Move.

The MabuhayRadio.com has become the number-one web site among the online publications of Filipino-American newspapers and magazines because we look for exclusive reports, if not scoops. We are not in the business of copying news articles and columns from Manila newspapers and pasting them online. We are in the business of reporting first-hand the success stories of our people, especially those who make their fellow Filipinos look extremely good, feel superlatively good and proud of their multiethnic heritage and talents.

Here are two photographs of Ms. Elita Loresca in action. Go watch her on KNBC TV-4 every morning. Then watch our Front Page for an article resulting from our interview with the new Filipino-American “kid” on the block and its updates. (Photos courtesy of KNBC TV-4.)
