“How Can Elections Help In Our Sustainable Development?" on KK! Talk Show Wednesday, May 5 @ 1830H (RP Time) on DZRH and Ch-9 TV in T he Philippine National and Local Elections will be held on More than 85,000 candidates are aiming to get only about 17,000 national and local positions. Some of them are quite lucky though—running unopposed and, thus, they need only one vote to be considered elected. But the rest have to win the hearts, minds, and “shaded eggs” of the voters on the ballot on election day. How will the voters make their choices? About 40% of them are 18-35 years old and about 3-million of them are first-time voters. How could they help the country’s sustainability and progress through their votes? Will the automated system work smoothly? How could all help to make it work, despite all the talks against it? To hear some answers to these and other questions on the forthcoming elections, tune in/watch Kalikasan, Kaunlaran! on May 5, 2010, Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Manila time) at DZRH-AM radio (666 in Metro Manila, other kHz nationwide), various TV stations (Ch. 9 in Metro Manila, other cable TV channels nationwide), and Internet http://dzrh.prepys.com or http://dzrh.tripod.com.
