T wo weeks ago, Kalikasan, Kaunlaran! (KK!) featured “Life in the Ecozoic Age.” This time, KK! will feature how life is for others—for animals--in an eco zoo or an ecologically sound zoo.

This episode follows the 2nd Philippine International Flora and Fauna Garden Expo that was held in the World Trade Center from July 16-19, 2009. The expo presented some of the animals that one may find in a zoo.

How is life for animals in a zoo or in a special type of zoo, an eco zoo? What does it mean to be an eco zoo? How may a zoo become an eco zoo? Tune in/watch KK! for a discussion on the topic on July  22, 2009, Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Manila time), at DZRH-AM radio (666 in Metro Manila, other kHz nationwide), TV (Ch. 9 in Metro Manila, other cable TV channels nationwide), and Internet (http://dzrh.tripod.com or http://dzrh.prepys.com).

G uests are Dr. Dindo Basuel of the Zoobic Safari Corporation and James Tomell, technical consultant of the Zoomanity Group. Dr. Cora Claudio, president, EARTH Institute Asia, will moderate the discussion.

Join also the Quiz, contests, campaigns and projects of EARTH and Kalikasan, Kaunlaran! To join all, register at 2299: earth<space>your message.
