A llan Albert, this website’s webmaster, explained why the shut down for almost eight hours last Thursday, March 5, 2009. Mr. Albert and the editors of this website did not notice that it shut down until several readers e-mailed Bobby Reyes and asked why the could not be accessed. Mr. Albert was on the road and he could only get hold of a computer early evening of Thursday.

According to the website’s server, the, the shut down because too many readers searched its database at the same time. The had at that time a capacity of accommodating a maximum of 50 visitors accessing simultaneously its “Search this Site” button. Mr. Albert was able to fix the technical problems and now this website’s capacity has been increased to 200 simultaneous searches of its database. The bandwidth of the was increased also to four fold – from 300 gigabytes to 1,200 gigabytes. The incident on March 5, 2009, was the third time the website shut down due to too-many visitors overwhelming its capability. Mr. Albert hopes that he could anticipate any increase of readers and hits in the future, so as to avoid disruption of services. # # #
