Ms. Elita Loresca will attend the FACLA’s 63rd Anniversary and Open House on Saturday, April 26, 2008. Ike Rongavilla, a member of the FACLA Board of Directors, has confirmed her visit. Ms. Loresca is the first-ever Filipino-American weather newscaster at KNBC-TV Channel 4 of Los Angeles. The FACLA is the acronym of the Filipino-American Community of Los Angeles, Inc., which is headquartered at 1740 West Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90026. According to Mr. Rongavilla, who is also the FACLA auditor, she is scheduled to come for the 11:00 a.m. program and then join the crowd for a simple lunch. Ms. Loresca will be seated at the head table together with the event’s keynote speaker, Deputy Consul General Daniel R. Espiritu of the Philippine Consulate General, and the FACLA President, Dr. Jose B. Baldonado, and the FACLA First Lady, Dr. Caridad Pulido-Baldonado.

Here are two photographs of Ms. Elita Loresca in action. Go watch her on KNBC TV-4 every morning. She appears on the KNBC-4 news broadcasts usually from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. ("Today in L.A.") and 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon ("Midday Report"), Mondays to Fridays. (Photos courtesy of KNBC TV-4.)
