Does Ms. Palin Believe that Paul Revere’s 1775 Historic Ride Was to Warn the British that the American Rebels Were Coming?

By Lolo Bobby M. Reyes

Poet-pundit Fred Burce Bunao is my literary mentor. He told me that a Greek philosopher once said, ‘History is the art of choosing from among so many lies that which resembles most the truth.’ Mr. Bunao, who looks that old, could not recall, however, if it was his friend, Herodotus, or another pal, Pliny the Elder, who said it. – Bobby Reyes

It seems that Sarah Palin subscribes also to a Greek’s philosopher’s (and the now-deceased Fred Burce Bunao’s) definition of history, as quoted above and used as the lead paragraph also in this article, The Fourth of July Is RP-US "Interdependence Day"

Did she really call Paul Revere as “Mr. Reverse” if some wags are to be believed?

It is a pity that Ms. Palin has been creating a refutation, oops, reputation of being “loose lips” or perhaps of suffering from a proverbial version of foot-in-mouth disease, if there is ever one malady in the world of satire.

Pardon the irreverence of my literary guru, Fred Burce Bunao, who supposedly cracked a joke before he died in October 2010 that “the problem with Ms. Palin is that she happens to have a brain smaller than one of her breasts.” Mr. Bunao’s supposedly-irreverent exercise of humor may anger the proponents of Women’s Lib. But is the former Alaskan governor adding fuel to her image as a “nincompoop aspirant” to the Republican Party’s presidential nomination?

Humorists, pundits and wags are having a field day cracking jokes at former Governor Palin and her tongue-twisting adventures or misadventures.

O ur comedian of a writer, Goliath Letterman, penned this satire:

Top Ten Reasons Why Sarah Palin Will Never Become President of the United States

There is no truth to the rumor among Americans of Filipino descent that Ms. Palin spells Filipino as “Pfilipfinos,” as per this article:

Will the World Now Call Pfilipfinos the Pfeopfle with Pfunny Names?

But Ms. Palin is certainly becoming a celebrity of a wordsmith if we are to believe this other satire of Goliath Letterman:

Top-Ten New Words Coined by Sarah Palin

H ere is the Los Angeles Times Paul West’s story of the latest gaffe by Ms. Palin,

Palin apologizes for upstaging Romney but not for her Paul Revere story

Enjoy reading Mr. West’s story and Mr. Letterman’s articles. # # #
