Mr. Obama is not completely Black. He’s half and half.  And, he’s no Oreo . . . Black on the outside, white on the inside—Jesse Jose

Our columnist Jesse Jose and this writer have been accused by supporters of Sen. Barack Obama of bashing the presumptive Democratic Party’s presidential nominee. Who can ever forget Mr. Jose’s description of Senator Obama as the “Oreo Candidate?” If you missed it, please just click on this hyperlink Is Sen. Barack Obama an “Oreo” or a “Brother”?

Yes, Ka Jesse has written about 40 nasty and “funneee” columns about Senator Obama and the other erstwhile Democratic presidential aspirants in his column, A Cup O' Kapeng Barako and he is not yet done.

Here is one of the funnier articles that Mr. Jose wrote, Change? What Kind of Change? Loose Change? Or, Sex Change? (Obama Is the "Oreo Candidate")

On my part, I have written articles like Top Ten Reasons Why Senator Obama Is a Foreign-Relations Expert and Even if Ms. Clinton or Mr. McCain Wins the Election, Mr. Obama Can Still Be President

Yes, the 2008 presidential elections will probably emerge as the contest that involved the most use of wit and humor.

This writer was probably one of the first to use “Barack Bashing” as a term for articles that hit and/or lampoon the not-so-great junior senator from the Great State of Illinois. And now I am coming up with “McCain Mashing” to describe the efforts of his critics and pro-Obama campaigners to pulverize his image and cast him as a senile aspirant for the Oval Office.

Talk-show hosts like David Letterman and Jay Leno have mashed Senator McCain in their late-night shows. Like describing Mr. McCain as almost becoming the running mate of then presidential candidate Abraham Lincoln.

But Senator Obama is winning hands-down the contest between him and Mr. McCain as to who gets to be the subject of more bitter jokes, wit and humor.

Here are some of the latest Barack-Bashing exercises of humor: Did you know that Senator Obama is a very-religious Christian? He prays five times a day while kneeling on a prayer mat and facing the East . . .?

History will repeat itself if and when Mr. Obama becomes the occupant of the Oval Office. He will emulate fellow-Democrat Bill Clinton and become snared in a scandal involving an intern. But in his case, Mr. Obama will be the intern . . . oops, entry-level President.

Then Republicans say that no American named Bob ever was elected President of the United States. Not even then Sen. Bob Dole came close to being elected to the Oval Office. If American voters do not like the name “Bob,” how much more “Barack?”

Heard any new jokes about Senators McCain and Obama? Please send them to this writer at for inclusion in the next article of this series.

(To be continued . . .)
