LARIOSA (© 2012 Journal Group Link International) C HICAGO (jGLi) -- The Filipino-American parade in Skokie Commissioner Jelly Carandang is urging her fellow Filipino Americans to join the singing Trio, the Angelos, at the Assembly is at Oakton Community College Parking Lot on Since over 50 groups will be joining the parade, Filipino-American participants should look for the Philippine Flag in joining the parade. The distance covered by the parade is short (about seven blocks): from the OCC parking lot to the Oakton Park District on Oakton & Skokie Blvd.. But because of the number of participating groups, the parade could last a couple of hours to finish.
