S eafood City and Phase1 Entertainment present Pasko Expo, an annual Filipino-themed Christmas indoor festival. This all-day event will held on Saturday, December 13th, at the Exposition Hall, Solano Fairgrounds in Vallejo, California. It will feature live entertainment, authentic Filipino food, and various retail vendors. Beneficiaries of the event are the Gawad Kalinga, the Pilipino Youth Coalition (PYC) and the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots.

Translated to English, “Gawad Kalinga” means “to give care”. Gawad Kalinga (GK) aims to rebuild poverty stricken communities, in the Philippines and throughout the world, by working with its people to create homes and establish programs so the members can become self-sufficient. Joe Millares, Vice President of ANCOP Foundation (USA) says, “Gawad Kalinga is really a movement. We want a transcendental cause that we all can work on.” Pasko Expo will raise public awareness by educating the attendees and showing wares made by the GK community.

Vallejo’s Pilipino Youth Coalition (PYC) was created by Filipino-American Social Services organization in 1997. PYC is a youth group consisting of high-school and college students. By educating the members on their Filipino ancestry, sharing its various resources, and offering opportunities for community activism, PYC offers a positive environment for Vallejo’s youth. Pasko Expo will donate $1 from each parking ticket to PYC.

The U.S. Marines Toys For Tots program delivers toys to needy children for the Christmas holidays. Pasko Expo attendees will be encouraged to bring in and donate a new, unwrapped toy. The U.S. Marines will pickup and deliver all donated toys to children throughout the Solano County area.

Pasko Expo welcomes people of all ages and ethnicities. Please come and support Pasko Expo and its beneficiaries on Saturday, December 13th, at Exposition Hall, Solano Fairgrounds in Vallejo. The indoor festival runs from 11 am to 8 pm. Admission is free and parking is $6. For more information, visit www.PaskoExpo.com, email info@phase1ent.com or call 888.416.3331.
