T his Thanksgiving Day is 10th one in the existence of this website. But on Thanksgiving Day 2007, we featured five articles highlighted by Jesse Jose’s “A Turkey Story” that we ran in his “A Cup O’ Kapeng Barako” column. A Chicago-based Filipino-American publication refused to print Mr. Jose’s Thanksgiving article, which it deemed “morally (sic) offensive.” We wish all our readers and members (subscribers) a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving Weekend. Thank you for supporting this online experiment. We have come this far and we think that we have so far succeeded in letting our readers put their thinking caps on. (As updated on Nov. 22, 2017.)

Well, Mr. Jose’s controversial article remains published in this website. To read it again, please just click on this hyperlink:

This writer also wrote this story, which should have been read by the Democrats and Republican legislators in Washington, DC. Had they read it, perhaps the economic crisis of today would not have happened. Here is the link:

Enjoy the Turkey and All the Trimmings Today and Prepare for a Recession Tomorrow

We published also the real story of Thanksgiving from the historical perspective of Native Americans. Here is the link to the story written by an American-Indian author, Ms. Susan Bates:

The Real Story of Thanksgiving (From the American-Indian Perspective)

We published also a message from the Honorable Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo Aragon, who is the first-ever woman Filipino career diplomat named to head the Philippine diplomatic post in Los Angeles, California. The link is:

Thanksgiving Message from Consul General Aragon

This writer also described the turkeys in the National Federation of Filipino-American Associations (NaFFAA) and the commentaries of Copper Sturgeon and Dr. Eddie AAA Calderon. Here is the link:

Thanksgiving Day is also mentioned in these articles:

Happy reading and Happy Thanksgiving greetings again. # # #
