Pundits Eat Crow in New Hampshire While Our Columnists Jose and Reyes Look Like Million-Dollar Winners for Endorsing Senators Clinton and McCain When Bobby Reyes posted his column highly critical of Sen. Barack Obama on Jan. 6, 2008, at 11:30 PM, he did also the unthinkable. He endorsed Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton for the Democratic primary and Sen. John McCain for the Republican primary. The endorsement was made more-than 24 hours before the day of the New-Hampshire primary when all the pundits predicted the disastrous defeat of Mrs. Clinton. Pundits also were saying that Senator McCain would be affected by the predicted support of the independent voters for Senator Obama and he (the senator from Arizona) would probably lose. In fact, quite a few pundits wrote off Senator McCain a few weeks back.
Reyes, the MabuhayRadio.com editor, said also that he was approving the endorsements for Mrs. Clinton and Mr. McCain made by his fellow columnist, Jesse Jose. Reyes said likewise that he based his endorsements after consulting some members of the Media Breakfast Club of Los Angeles and some founders of the budding “Filipino-American Reagan-Democrats’ Club.” Yes, when everybody thought that the chips were done and gone for Senators Clinton and McCain, Messrs. Jose and Reyes read right the sentiments of the people of New Hampshire. Now, perhaps the American political pundits may now notice the MabuhayRadio.com and its two columnists, Jesse Jose and Bobby Reyes, who are probably descendants of Cassandra, if not Nostradamus. What a way to go, Jesse Jose and Bobby Reyes. # # #
