F ilipino-American supporters of Jerry Brown are reactivating the “Browns for Brown” that helped him win twice the governorship of California in the 1970s.

More details about the “Browns for Brown” campaign organization in the 1970s can be read in this article, How Filipinos Came to Be Called as "Brown Americans"

Dr. Carlos Paredes-Manlapaz chairs the “Browns for Brown,” 2010 edition. He was the original chairman of the "Browns for Brown" in 1974. Co-chairing the “2010 Browns for Brown” is Fender Santos, a charter member of the Media Breakfast Club of Los Angeles and former mayor of the Philippine Town, Inc. Mr. Santos is also active in the Filipino-American community of Southern California. The other co-chairs are Ernie Delfin, CPA, of Orange County, Paul Villar of the Inland Empire and Ms. Cora Pastrana, who will also be the group's Secretary General. The Media Breakfast Club of Los Angeles provides pro-bono secretarial services and public-relations work for the group.

The co-chairs will announce soon the composition of the “2010 Browns for Brown” Executive Committee, Board of Advisers and county campaign managers.

The MabuhayRadio.com, the Media Breakfast Club of Los Angeles and other Filipino-American entities are now working on their combined endorsement for Jerry Brown’s candidacy for the governorship of California.

I nterested Filipino-Californian voters who want to join the “2010 Browns for Brown” can contact the Secretariat at Browns4Brown@aol.com or at this temporary telephone number, (626) 825-0628.

They may also now be able to donate amounts from $5 to $100 to the JerryBrown.org by clicking on this hyperlink:
