Meg Whitman’s Candidacy Is Based on Lies about Jerry Brown, about her EBay Assistant, about her Maid and about Herself
By Bobby Reyes
Here LIES Meg Whitman, who never lied in her life – Fred Burce Bunao
If Fred Burce Bunao, a Filipino-American poet-pundit, did not die in Los Angeles, California, on Oct. 1, 2010, perhaps he could have allowed Meg Whitman to use his oft-quoted epitaph for her political tombstone. Mr. Bunao wrote the above quoted one-liner in the 1990s.
Meg Whitman has been lying about many aspects of her career and life. She continues to lie about the track record of her opponent, Jerry Brown. She lied about her physical confrontation with her then-EBay assistant. She continues to lie about the Mexican that she hired as her maid cum cleaning lady – and continues to insist that she never knew for the nine years that she employed her that she was not allowed to work legally in the United States – as if she was born only yesterday.
Meg Whitman lied about her physical confrontation with her then-Korean-American EBay assistant – until she was forced by the press to admit that she indeed pushed her subordinate, aside from verbally abusing her. Details of this encounter with her E-Bay assistant could be read in this article, Top-Ten Reasons Why Meg Whitman’s Candidacy Is a Losing Proposition
D espite proof that the Social Security Administration wrote the Whitman household about the fact that the social-security number of her maid did not match her name, Meg Whitman continues to deny the scandal that is now dubbed the “Nannygate.” A description of the “Nannygate” is found in this hyperlink, Meg Whitman Must Abandon Her Candidacy If She Has “Delicadeza” Left In Her
The Whitman television-and-radio commercials continue to lie about the unemployment rate during the second term of Jerry Brown’s governorship in the 1990s. The Whitman ads claim that the unemployment rate doubled at the end of Governor Jerry Brown’s second term in 1983. Los Angeles Times Columnist George Skelton wrote today that it took NBC legend Tom Brokaw, who moderated the third Brown-Whitman debate, to point out during the debate the truth that the so-called high-unemployment rate happened during the “President Ronald Reagan recession” years. In fact, Mr. Brokaw pointed out “five other states with Republican governors that had higher unemployment rates” during the Second Jerry Brown Administration. A nother Los Angeles Times columnist, Steve Lopez, pointed out the perceived other "lies" in Meg Whitman’s candidacy. Mr. Lopez said, “And Brown no doubt would prefer to hammer Whitman for seldom having voted, for being in bed with Wall Street’s worst villains, for trying to buy the governorship and, of course, for not having a plan of her own other than cynical and non-specific promises – such as her vow to eliminate 40,000 state jobs.”
