There are already several hectares of fishponds in Candaba that used to raise tilapia now but which now raise Koi. Koi grows very fast in these ponds. The TCL-KOI Candaba Fisheries site in Sitio Pansol, Mandasig, Candaba, Pampanga, Philippines, is one of the pilot projects. The Department of Agriculture's Bureau of Fisheries is expected to provide technical assistance while the Department of Trade and Industry will assist in marketing the Koi harvests abroad. Editor’s Note: Checking the web brought us to the above address in getting to learn more about Koi farming.
