Dear Roger:
Thanks to your flattering comment.
I hope I deserve it.
I don’t know how I can describe 50 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean. Maybe, they are a bunch of real estate lawyers, whose properties are mostly “underwater.” LOL!!!
You are a very keen observer. I was thinking the same way as you are thinking. Congrats!
You are right. Madoff’s analogy cannot be applied to Pasamba. They are apples and oranges.
But in rifling thru Ms. Pam Zekman, you could also blame her poor strategy in failing to snare Atty. Bascos to speak in front of video camera.
When I asked Mr. Bascos why he did not want to face the video camera, Bascos retorted: “Why should I? I already answered all her questions on the phone.”
If I were Zekman, I would have saved a few questions to ask, so she had reason to see Bascos in person and in front of a video camera. Or she should not have asked any question at all on the phone, so Bascos had no reason to decline her visit. Who knows she could have coached Mr. Bascos to talk to her in person before a camera.
Perhaps, Zekman desperately tried to talk to Al but Al was busy. So, Zekman had to make do in front of the Rizal Center as her stage for her stand-upper, which unfortunately happened at the expense of the bust and name of the Philippine national hero. To a certain extent or perhaps as an extreme example, the exposure of the Rizal bust in an unflattering light has resemblance with some U.S. soldiers burning in Afghanistan the Koran. As you know there are some fanatics in the Philippines, who look up to Rizal not only as a hero but also a god, an avatar or a saint.
I just hope Dr. Rizal would not be cringing in his grave as his bust is getting some pot shots.
Mabuhay! :-))
