MabuhayRadio.com Maintains Traffic-Rating Dominance Among Top-12 Fil-Am Media-owned Web Sites (per Alexa.com Ratings of 01-02-08)

The MabuhayRadio.com continues its dominance in Alexa.com’s United States ranking of web sites operated by Filipino-American publications. The MabuhayRadio.com overtook also MyGringos.com, PhilippineNews.com and FilipinoExpress.com in the latest Alexa.com’s world-wide ranking of all web sites. The ranking is like the golf score—the lower, the better. In the United States rankings, the MabuhayRadio.com continues to lead the field and its rank is better by 92,747 spots than AsianJournal.com, a decade-old web site that is similar in content. The MabuhayRadio.com turns nine-months-old on Jan. 15, 2008.

While the Jan. 2, 2008, Alexa.com world-wide ratings still has AsianJournal.com ahead over MabuhayRadio.com, the gap on Nov. 18, 2007, was 387,184 positions. Today, Jan. 2, 2008, the gap between AsianJournal.com and MabuhayRadio.com is only 22,942 spots. Therefore, the MabuhayRadio.com made up 364,242 positions in only 45 days.

Yes, from Nov. 18, 2007 (565,943), to Jan. 2, 2008 (239,778), the MabuhayRadio.com world-wide ranking improved by 326,165 positions. On the other hand, the AsianJournal.com lost 38,077 spots over the same period (178,759 ranking on 11/18/07 to 216,836 on 01/02/08).

In the United States’ ranking, Alexa.com has now MabuhayRadio.com widening its lead over its nearest competitor, MyGringos.com. The gap--that separates the two--is now 33,901 spots. This is because from Dec. 15, 2007, to Jan. 2, 2008, the MabuhayRadio.com’s U.S. ranking improved by 9.97% while the MyGringos.com ranking fell by 53.01% (negative).

NEWS FLASH: As of today, Jan. 4, 2007, the U.S. ranking of the MabuhayRadio.com is now 27,059, a positive jump of 1,727 spots in two days.

We are including for the first time the ranking of BastaPinoy.com of Miami, Florida, because it has better ratings than FilipinoReporter.com of New York. We are including also the rankings of other well-known web sites that are published by Filipino-American publications.

The stunning performance of PinoyOnBoard.com can be partly explained by the fact that it continues to carry the 2003 and 2004 writings of Bobby M. Reyes. The MabuhayRadio.com carries hyperlinks to the PinoyOnBoard.com, when the articles carry a reference to an earlier Bobby Reyes-written story published in the New York-based web site.

There is also the fact that the lower the ranking, the harder it is to maintain it. The United States ranking is updated every three days or so and the ranking of the MabuhayRadio.com changes.
