The NaFFAA NEOs Have Been Reported Already to the IRS for Tax Evasion and Possible Violations of the RICO Act

O nce again Eric Lachica, whom this writer has dubbed the “Peddler on the Roof” and his associates, Atty. Loida Nicolas Lewis, Atty. Rodel Rodis and their fellow former national executive officers (NEOs) of the NaFFAA will be in Los Angeles on an apparent “scamming mission” again. The NaFFAA is the acronym for the National Federation of Filipino-American Associations. Lachica, et al, will be at the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles, California. The visiting NaFFAA NEOs and Mr. Lachica are to conduct what they call a “Global Summit Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, June 30, 2011, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the said Philippine diplomatic post.

This writer was able to warn Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo-Aragon of the rackets that Mr. Lachica and his NaFFAA allies have been peddling to the Filipino-American community, especially the military veterans. They like to display and work their rackets even if they don’t play tennis.

Lately Mr. Lachica and his allies have selling what they call “membership” in a Filipino-American “Medicare Portability system.” Each membership card costs $100 and by some accounts at least 1,000 Filipino-American veterans and senior citizens have been reportedly victimized. This investigative reporter warned Consul General Aragon during her regular monthly press conference held last June 15 that Mr. Lachica, et al, like to hold their “selling sessions” in Philippine diplomatic offices, so as to avail of an “aura of legitimacy.” Ms. Aragon said that she would issue a directive that would remind people that it is illegal to sell anything in the consulate general’s premises.
