The PTE-HOPE, Inc., will hold its first Annual Multicultural Festival today, Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007. The full-day event will feature the best of art, historical and cultural performances representing the Filipino-American, African-American, Latino-American, and other Asian and Euro-based linguistic groups in San Diego County. It will be an exemplary event that unifies and celebrates the contributions of the various socio-ethnic, linguistic and cultural art groups in San Diego County. The event's venue is the historic Spanish Landing Park (The Cancer Survivor Park area) in San Diego, CA 92101.

 

The venue is located between Harbor Blvd. and Harbor Drive area. It just across the street from the San Diego International Airport. The festival will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., today, Nov. 3, 2007.

The PTE-HOPE, Inc., is a unique organization with global implications. Its mission: "To promote community awareness, cooperation, respect, hope and goodwill among the various cultures and ethnics groups."

The organizers invite community leaders to participate in the PTE-HOPE, Inc., MULTI-CULTURAL FESTIVAL, 2007, Event.

The Co-Founders who made this Festival possible are Mateo Camarillo, Dr. Maxine Sherard, Marissa Acierto, Lydia Loristo and Eddie Enriquez. The volunteer-participants are Corazon Espiritu, Sarah Espiritu, Noni Palma, Jesse and Fely Albritten, James Cole, Wendy "Weng" Baylor, Raul Martinez, Tito Dizon, Charito Grace, Laarni Thornton, Maria Alegrado-Acierto, Aileen Elegado-Catapusan, Phong Chung (performer from the New York Philharmonic Symphony), Michael Acierto-Rodriguez, Jr. (recipient of an awarded in San Diego Creative and Performing Arts School, who is most likely to get into Carnegie Hall), Rosemarie and Neal Dimagala, Rose Angeles, Rosette Angeles (Award Winning Salsa Dancers), The "E" Girls (Hip-Hop and Hula), Malia Aloese-Samoan Dance Troupe, Geno Fields (Stylistic's nephew) and Music Production, Ana Marie Cobato-Pasacat Dance Troupe, Jaime Loristo, Coco Gatlin-Enriquez (Gatlin's Brothers niece), Mama Cass and Performance Company, Debbie Cruz, Andre and EJ Enriquez, Roy Elegado, Willie G. (TV Production/Actor), Doris Enriquez of The San Diego County Times, Asian Journal, Daniel Hernandez and Qunto Sol, Toi Ethridge, Dean Jess, Remy Bermudez and Tamara Arce. This is just the partial list of volunteers and participants.
